Celebrate the flavors of the season in this Summer Harvest cooking demo: One Fruit Served Three Ways, a dynamic culinary demonstration focused on creativity, versatility, and fresh ingredients. One Pineapple, endless Possibilities.
In this interactive session, you’ll discover how a single peak-season fruit like Pineapple can be transformed into three distinct dishes, ranging from refreshing beverages to savory accompaniments and decadent desserts. Our ERE Culinary Nutritionist, Sarah Santa will demo how to cut/prep the pineapple, and the process to making tepache (a fermented pineapple drink much like Kombucha).We will learn how this versatile fruit can flavor and compliment savory dishes as well as enjoy a traditional pineapple dessert we all know and love.
With the pineapple taking center stage, here’s the menu, Chef Sarah is cooking up:
- Welcome beverage: Tepache, option to pair with a smoky mezcal
- Chipotle pineapple salsa with chips
- Beef skewers with grilled pineapple, served with cilantro rice and a pineapple vinagrette salad
- Finished off with pineapple upside-down mini cakes
