SUMMARY:Friendsgiving Progressive Dinner
DESCRIPTION:Join your neighbors for a one-of-a-kind Friendsgiving experience as we journey through the community\, stopping at five host homes to enjoy signature dishes\, treasured family recipes\, and cultural traditions. At each stop\, hosts will share a favorite recipe and the story behind it\, giving guests a unique opportunity to connect through food\, friendship\, and tradition. \n\nWe’re looking for five host homes in the Esplanade at Coasterra neighborhood to be featured during the Host Open House. Hosts will provide a favorite dish for guests to sample and share the story behind the recipe. Whether it’s a family classic\, a holiday staple\, or a dish that celebrates your heritage\, we’d love to feature your home and traditions. \nTo help us showcase each dish\, all hosts will be asked to submit their recipe to the Lifestyle Manager in advance. \nInterested in hosting? You do not need to provide a full meal for all participants. Does not need to be Thanksgiving themed if you don’t wish. RSVP below.  \nNot hosting and want to still bring a dish and share your recipe? We have two options for you:\n1. Bring an appetizer to the Thanksgiving Happy Hour and add to our Community Table.\n2. Bring a dessert or a drink to share at the Grand Finale.\n\n\nIf you need refridgerator space for your dessert while we’re “on tour”\, we can use the model home fridges. We will provide ice and 9oz cocktail cups for the drinks\, and we have several shakers\, jiggers and cocktails spoons as well as a couple of muddlers.\n\nThere’s also an RSVP for the taste test committee\, (aka not bringing a dish or hosting\, but we can always use help with the clean up)!\n\nPlease only register for one category. If you are hosting or bringing a dish\, please do not register for the other category. Thanks!\n\nTo help us showcase each dish\, all hosts as well as those bringing dishes or cocktails will be asked to submit their recipe to the Lifestyle Manager in advance.\n\n\nExample Schedule \n\n4:45 – 5:30 PM Thanksgiving Happy Hour at Sales Gallery \n\nWine & Cider Provided\nCommunity Appetizer Table\nEveryone receives a map and what is served at each stop\n\n5:40 – 8:30 Host Open House \n8:40 – 10:00 Meet back at the Sales Gallery for the Community Recipe Table. Everyone BYOB and a chair. \nWe recommend you bring some tupperware to the Sales Gallery Finale for apps or desserts as we usually have lots of leftovers. Those with golf carts are encouraged to bring them for this event. \nThis is our first attempt at a Community Progressive Dinner\, so we are figuring it out as we go! Hopefully there will be many more to come!! \nNo matter how you participate\, there’s a seat for everyone on the Gravy Train. Come hungry\, leave inspired\, and maybe take home a few new family recipes along the way.

SUMMARY:V is for Vegan
DESCRIPTION:Save the Date! Tickets on sale soon! \nVegan cuisine has roots that stretch back thousands of years. Ancient cultures and religions\, including Jainism and certain Buddhist traditions in India\, promoted diets that avoided harming animals\, emphasizing plant-based foods such as grains\, legumes\, fruits\, and vegetables. Philosophers such as Pythagoras in ancient Greece also advocated for avoiding animal consumption on ethical grounds.  \nThe modern vegan movement began in 1944\, when Donald Watson and a small group of like-minded individuals founded The Vegan Society in the United Kingdom. They coined the term “vegan” to describe a lifestyle that excluded all animal products\, including meat\, dairy\, and eggs.  \nJoin us for the next Cooking & Cocktails Series and explore the vibrant world of vegan cuisine! In this engaging demonstration\, we’ll showcase how fresh ingredients and innovative techniques can transform plant-based cooking into an unforgettable culinary experience. \nFor the Vegan Curious\, for the Foodie\, for the friends of that one friend who is Vegan\, and even for those who are not practicing vegan\, this class is for you. Broaden your foodie horizons and level up your kitchen expertise with this ERE Chef led cooking demonstrations. \nOur final Cooking & Cocktail series of 2026 brought to you by the charming chef Marco of Esplanade Resort Culinary Experiences. If you miss this one\, you won’t see him back in our community until February at the earliest! Chef Marco will guide you through the preparation of Vegan Scallops made with King Trumpet Mushrooms\, and made with jalepeno pesto and creamy polenta\, followed by a light and refreshing key lime\npie mousse for dessert. \n6-6:30 Mix & Mingle \n6:30 Instruction Begins \nQR code for Recipes will be provided. If you would like the recipes ahead of time to review for any allergy concerns\, please reach out to your Lifestyle Manager. \n
