One of my favorite Florida bands, NO Filter is playing at Woody’s River Roo in Ellenton at 8 PM. No Filter packs every venue on the east coast from New York to Florida because of their concert style experience. They play only the best snippets of classics from the 70’s, 80’s, 90’s, and 2000’s, as well as todays hits, then blends them so well you won’t know when one song ends and the next one begins. It’s your favorite danceable songs, that make you want to grab your friends and drag them to the dance floor, while screaming, “I LOVE THIS SONG!” all melted into one big, genre- busting dance party. If that isn’t enough, they are famous for their 4 part illuminated percussion performance that is synced to their state of the art, lighting and video system. The visual performance is top tier- with their female drummer’s hair flowing in the wind, instrument changes, rock band solos, and state of the art lighting and video. Their band members are rich with talent- a musical melting pot of cultures, backgrounds and styles stemming from their musical, theatrical and recording careers. All of this combines to create a very energetic and unforgettable performance you won’t want to miss.

If you are attending to catch up with your neighbor, come early before the show to gab and nosh. Although Woody’s River Roo is large enough that you can move to the back of the venue if you’d like to continue your conversation after the concert has begun. In other words, it will be loud.

Parking: If you’ve ever been to Woody’s River Roo, you understand parking is minimal for the venue size. If you can’t find parking in their gravel lots, or across on their grass lots, try Furniture Warehouse- fair warning- it is a bit of a walk.
