Esplanade Gives Back- Meal Train For The McClains
September 10 @ 5:00 pm - September 26 @ 6:00 pm
Description
You already knew that Esplanade at Coasterra supports a variety of social clubs and interest groups shaped by the passions of our members, but one of the most rewarding Groups/Clubs is Esplanade Gives Back. This group is designed to support the causes that mean the most to our Esplanade at Coasterra community. Groups and Clubs are member run, but coordinate with the Lifestyle team to get the word out to the community. Eventually we will find a strong advocate to take charge of this group, but for now, your Coasterra Lifestyle Manager will head this group.
This month, one of our very own families, Nathan & Sarah McClain will be going through a tough time as they bring their young son in for surgery. As they have shared their story at several of our events with other members, we have heard from some of you, that you would like to support them.
“Wesley was born with a genetic condition called Crouzon Syndrome which caused the sutures and bones in his head and face to prematurely fuse. Due to this, he is having a major surgery called a cranial vault with frontal orbital advancement which will be removing and remodeling his skull as well as bringing his eye sockets forward on his face. The surgery is anticipated to last around 8 hours, we are asking for prayers and positive thoughts that surgery goes smoothly, and he does not have any major complications with blood loss or abnormal cranial pressures.” — Sarah McClain
A Meal Train has been created for the McClains help provide meals during Wesley’s recovery. If you would like to participate, please volunteer for a date using the link below.
Whether you choose to prepare a homemade meal, deliver takeout from a favorite restaurant, send a grocery delivery, or your prayers and wishes, every gesture is appreciated. Details on drop off times and address are listed within the link below. Since Wesley and family will be in quarantine during his recovery, they will have a cooler on their front porch for drop offs.
